The new PP is on direct and inverse relationships. It is on the exam. There is a section on the review sheet on Energy. At the point that I posted it I wasn't sure we'd get to it. We did not. It is not on the exam.
A statement that reflects the hypothesis in the light of whether the data supported or refuted it. For example, if your hypothesis is that a new drug will reduce symptoms more than an older one and your data shows that people who take the new drug have fewer symptoms, your conclusion would be that the new drug reduces symptoms. If you data does not support it, the conclusion would be that the drug does not reduce symptoms.

DeleteMen who become bald at a younger age also develop gray hair at a younger age.
ReplyDelete• IV: being bald at a young age
• DV: having gray hair at a young age
Is this an acceptable answer????
Those would be OK. Age when becoming bald and age when getting gray hair would be better.

DeleteAre we going to have to know how to tell if it is correlation or causation by looking at a graph?
ReplyDeleteYou will need to be able to tell if it is a correlation but only if I give you the r2 value. If it is close to 1, there is a correlation.
DeleteWill we have to write out any definitions if you give us the word or will it mostly be matching, multiple choice, and fill in the blank?
ReplyDeleteYou won't write any out.
ReplyDeletefor the r2 problems would you consider anything above 6.5 close to one?
ReplyDeleteI think she said like 0.9 and up is good!
